Vice President of Advocacy
The Vice President of Advocacy directs the organization’s advocacy program with state policymakers, advocacy partners, and coalition members across the state. S/he manages the organization’s advocacy team including lobbyists and field organizers, leads field operations and advocate training and recruitment, and oversees the organization’s PAC. S/he is responsible for executive and legislative branch outreach and engagement, tracking executive and legislative action, and communicating regularly with lawmakers, policymakers and state advocates to educate, promote and advance TQEE’s policy agenda. The Vice President interfaces daily with the CEO to co-develop advocacy strategy and operations plans, and in short, is the leader for the organization’s crucial advocacy operation to ensure Tennessee’s youngest learners get the quality early education they need to power Tennessee’s future.
