Would I be a good Steps for Reps Leader?
You don’t need a political background. You don’t need a budget. You need to be a Tennessee parent or early educator who believes that early childhood care and education should matter to the people who represent us.
Steps for Reps TN is a statewide movement of parents and educators organizing community walks to early voting locations this summer. The goal? Make early childhood care and education visible at the polls during early voting from Friday, July 17th through Saturday, August 1. Each walk event is district-based, community-driven, and designed by you — the leader who knows your neighborhood best.
When you sign up, you’ll be invited to three online training sessions we’ll conduct in partnership with Save the Children Action Network. That’s where we’ll give you everything you need to plan your event, build your team, and make early childhood care and education visible at the polls. You bring the passion for your community. We bring the tools, the data, and the support.
There is no cost to participate. Just your voice, your community, and your commitment to showing up for Tennessee’s youngest learners.
***We’re organizing groups by State House of Representatives districts. There are 99 total which cover the state – and all 99 seats are up for election. When you sign up to be a leader below, inputting your address will ensure you’re assigned to your correct State House district. And districts can have multiple leaders – so sign up to lead a walk today!
