Your consent
You agree to receive recurring automated informational and advocacy text messages (SMS and MMS) from TQEE, including messages that may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system, at the mobile telephone number you provided when signing up or at any other number you designate.
These message types, including informational messages, action alerts, event reminders, and legislative updates, are referred to together as the “Programs.”
Consent to receive automated informational and advocacy text messages is not a condition of any purchase or donation.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Please consult your carrier for rate information.
Message frequency
Message frequency will vary. TQEE reserves the right to change how often messages are sent, and to change the phone number messages are sent from.
Not all mobile devices or handsets are supported, and our messages may not be deliverable in all areas. TQEE, its service providers, and the mobile carriers supported by the Programs are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to stop messages
If you no longer want to participate in a Program, or no longer agree to these terms, reply to any message from that Program with STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT. You may receive one additional message confirming that you have opted out.
You may be subscribed to more than one Program across different short codes or phone numbers. You must reply STOP separately to each number you want to stop hearing from.
Replying with one of the keywords above is the surest way to opt out, because it takes effect immediately and automatically. We will also honor a request sent to info@tqee.org, though it may take us a few business days to process.
Help
For help with a Program, reply HELP to any message from that Program, or write to info@tqee.org.
Replying HELP or writing to us at that address is not a substitute for the opt-out keywords above. To stop messages immediately, use STOP.
Accurate information
When you complete a form or otherwise give us information in connection with a Program, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information, and not to use a false or misleading name or a name you are not authorized to use.
If we believe in our sole discretion that the information is untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete, or that you have joined a Program for an ulterior purpose, we may remove you from the Program and pursue any appropriate legal remedy.
Disclaimer of warranty
The Programs are offered on an “as-is” basis. They may not be available in all areas at all times, and may stop working if your wireless carrier changes its products, software, or coverage.
Delivery of mobile messages depends on transmission by your wireless service provider and is outside our control. We are not liable for delayed or undelivered mobile messages, or for any failure in the receipt of messages connected with a Program.
Privacy
We respect your privacy. We use the information you give us to transmit your mobile messages and to respond to you when necessary. That includes sharing information with our program partners, message content providers, phone companies, and the vendors who help us deliver mobile messages.
Except as described in this section, we do not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or otherwise transfer for profit any phone numbers or supporter information collected through the Programs to any third party. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, and will not be used for lead generation or affiliate marketing.
We may disclose information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation, or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or property.

Scope
These Text Messaging Terms and Conditions apply only to the Programs described above. They do not change any other policy that governs the relationship between you and TQEE in other contexts.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page and updating the effective date above.
